Chronology of cameras Balda

This 9 x 12 plate folding camera made of aluminum bears no brand or identification plate. It appears to be a francization likely intended for a distributor, but upon closer inspection, certain characteristics resemble those of a Balda. For instance, the attachment points of the handle on the body resemble those found on smaller Balda cameras. These also feature a spirit level integrated into the viewfinder, similar to this one.

The plate on which the shutter/lens unit is mounted has a distinct cutout, and the way the tilting viewfinder is inserted there is uncommon for Balda. This particular arrangement is seen on the Venus model, albeit in a 6.5 x 9 format. It also resembles the Balda-Kamera N° 3, which is a 9 x 12, but the lens support plate appears different.

The large folding viewfinder is oddly mounted upside down.
